My wayward feet
dance through the street
and I puddle-jump:
baptizing you in rainwater.
Then we kiss and sway
and run away
to chase a moonbeam
till we’ve caught her.

  1. Kids can’t resist the puddle-jump. When I was growing up we had puddles but a ‘puddle-jumper’ was an old car that was high-centered enough to not get hung up in the ruts.
