Sweet Redux

Do not be afraid of sweetness,
of tender feelings

Turn away from the cold carvings
of idle stone.

Remember soft, ripe intimacies-
the sweetness of rumpled sheets
and warm, sugared skies
that melt on the tongue

This is for Imaginary Garden with Real Toads where Kim has asked us to  reduce the  beautiful poem, Sweetness, always by Pablo Neruda, down to it’s essance.
